HOST: Zondervan Reflective
SPEAKER: Anna Meade Harris

Thirty percent of US families are led by a single parent. And while the Bible declares how God wants his church to treat widows and the fatherless, by and large the church does not know how to care for single-parent families. Anna Meade Harris (Rooted Ministry) discovered this when her family struggled to feel like they belonged in the church after the death of her husband. Join Anna for complimentary coffee and tea as she shares her story, offers biblical encouragement to single moms, and provides practical ways for the church to love and embrace them. Single moms, those in family ministry, and anyone who interacts with single-parent families are encouraged to attend this workshop!

Unexpected Pregnancy and the Local Church

Discipling Vulnerable Women in Your Community

Friday June 21, 12:30-2:00pm

HOST: Lifeline Children’s Services
SPEAKERS: Traci Newell, Tricia Williamson, Rebecca Lentner

What would you need if you were facing pregnancy alone?

Every day, thousands of women – many in our own communities and churches – are confronted with this question. For those contemplating abortion, and others vacillating between parenting and adoption, the journey through unexpected pregnancy can be a lonely one. Risk factors like material poverty, alienation, repeated pregnancy, and foster care can influence a woman’s decision.

What if the church played a role in her decision and offered a community of support to carry her through?

Join us for compelling testimony and learn how your church can get involved! Lunch will be provided. An additional registration fee is required for this event.

Wise Words for Challenging Times

Friday June 21, 12:30-2:00pm

HOST: Anchored Hope and Fieldstone Counseling
SPEAKERS: Ed Welch, Michael Keller, Rebekah Hannah, Jonathan Holmes

In an increasingly secular age, Christians can struggle to connect the gospel to the everyday challenges of life. Believers are reminded that we are “in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God,” (1 Cor. 1:30). But how do we make practical application of Christ’s wisdom to our relationships, internal struggles, and engagement with the world? In this panel Ed Welch, Michael Keller, Rebekah Hannah, and Jonathan Holmes will discuss how to apply wisdom to the challenges of our times. This event is co-sponsored by Fieldstone Counseling and Anchored Hope, two counseling organizations who share a passion for helping people apply Christ-centered wisdom to the challenges of life. Lunch will be provided. An additional registration fee is required for this event.

Stand For Life

Building a Culture That Reflects the Image of God in Every Person

Friday June 21, 12:30-2:00pm

HOST: Stand for Life
SPEAKERS: Ann Voskamp, Lauren McAfee, Elizabeth Graham, Missie Branch
Worship By: Shane & Shane

Often in American culture, we tie people’s value to their ability to contribute to society. People are seen as valuable when they are in the prime of their lives—working an important job or raising the next generation. But where does that leave those children who may be chronically ill, the aging adult or the preborn child? If they are not physically able to ‘contribute’ to society, do we still communicate their inherent value and immeasurable worth which is rooted in our understanding of the image of God in every person? Join us for this important discussion, and be encouraged and challenged to stand for life! Lunch will be provided.

Friday June 21, 9:15-10:30pm

HOST: Kregel Publications
SPEAKERS: Shannon Popkin and Lee Nienhuis

Rising mental health issues, suicide rates, gender confusion, and digital addiction have produced a generation of girls desperate for truth about themselves and God. Behind this deep sadness and thick bondage is a persistent enemy, peddling comparison lies. Whether a girl drives herself to measure-up exhaustion, or she retreats to the shadows, comparison holds her hostage. But Jesus’s gospel mindset sets her free.

Shannon Popkin and Lee Nienhuis explore the new face of comparison for teen girls and Jesus’s healthier, happier way of living me-free. Get new conversation starters and tools to help the teens you love thrive in a world that compares.
